$13.00 per hour

 

Start Date: September 19, 2017

Hours: 10-15 hours/week (in studio), 2-3 hours/week (remotely)

 

About the Job

Joey Wright Photography (JWP) is searching for a reliable, task & detail oriented Administrative Assistant (AA). The AA will work directly with Joey Wright (photographer) at his studio in Fort Lauderdale, FL and will be responsible for performing a number of administrative duties. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing their work load and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced photography business. The position will require occasional travel out-of-state and out-of-country to assist with productions at an increased rate of $200 - $300 per day.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Provides a bridge for smooth communication between Joey and his clients

·       Welcomes guests and customers by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries

·       Responds to emails & booking inquiries in a timely fashion

·       Manages an extremely active calendar of events

·       Assist with workshop planning & coordination

·       Updates and maintains digital mailing lists

·       Creates quarterly digital newsletter

·       Inputs business expense and payroll data

·       Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles matters expeditiously, proactively, and follows-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.

·       Provides assistance with photo shoot pre-production

o   Creates client agreements while following up until signatures have been attained

o   Acquires location permits and permissions

o   Acquires certificates of insurance when needed

o   Manages production schedules while providing updates to all parties involved

o   Creates and distributes call sheets to clients, talent and production teams

o   Arranges travel plans

·       Provides assistance with photo shoot productions

o   Welcomes and works with clients to provide a positive experience on set

o   Helps with equipment set-up and break-down

o   Serves as point of contact for location permits

o   Manages schedule to assure timely productions

·       Provides assistance with photo shoot post-production process

o   Creates and delivers client invoices

o   Follows up with past-due invoices

o   Assists with basic-level image retouching

Administrative Skills Required:

·       Organizational skills

·       Able to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and via written correspondence

·       Project management skills

·       High School degree required, some college preferred

·       Experienced in task and project management

·       Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and problem solve under deadlines

·       Ability to communicate effectively and properly (i.e., spelling and grammar) via email

·       Strong verbal and written communication skills

·       Fast learner with new software

·       Friendly and professional demeanor

·       Self-motivated

·       Ability to represent Joey Wright Photography in a professional, courteous, and warm manner

·       Familiarity with tax, business, and accounting practices – a plus

·       Photography experience - a plus

Software Experience/Skills Required:

·       Mac OS

·       Mac Native Apps (Calendar, Notes, Mail)

·       Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

·       Dropbox

Unicorn Skills (a plus but not required):

·       Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Lightroom)

·       Adobe Esign

·       Capture One

·       Mailchimp

·       Blinkbid

·       DaPulse

·       Word Press
